Special February Children’s Programs

Library Lovers’ Month continues in the Children’s Room as the Kids First Initiative provides some lovely children’s programs and events, as usual free of charge! During the HCSD’s Mid-Winter Recess the Children’s Room will be staffed from 10am-8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and 10am-5pm Thursday and Friday. Here is the special events Children’s Room calendar for February:
valentine's day
Valentine’s Day Crafts: Tuesday, February 11th from 3:30-7:30pm, All ages
Create beautiful Valentine’s day cards and crafts to take home or give as gifts!
Friends Kids Book Sale: Friday, February 21st from 11am-4pm and Saturday, February 22nd from 10am-2pm
Music+Art+Books=Musical Master with Shelly Ley: Friday, February 21st from 11am-12pm, Ages 5-10
Read musical books, dance to lyrical music and create a piece of art that connects it all.
Wildlife Detectives with Chelsea Benson from Mud Creek: Friday, February 21st from 12pm-1pm, All ages
Join Mud Creek Environmental Center educator Chelsea Benson for a Critter Scene Investigation! Make a plaster cast of an animal track to take home, too!
Black History Month Program: Friday, February 21st from 2-3pm, All ages
Fun craft projects and healthy snacks will be provided.
Special Magic Show with Entertainer D3mAgIc: Saturday, February 22nd from 11am-1pm, sponsored by the Friends of the Hudson Area Library
Storytelling with Movement with Visual Movement Artist, Victoria Wilde Langley: Saturday, February 22nd from 1-2pm, All ages
Focusing on storytelling through physical play and communication, this program
contributes to the development of expression, intellect and a flexible
body.
