High Five! Using Music & Song to Develop Your Child’s Reading Skills

Learning Rhythm & Song w/ Abby Lappen

The library and Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood’s High Five! at the library Saturday, April 14, 11am – 1pm features musician Abby Lappen. Abby led a session with families during our fall High Five! Series and the families asked for her return for more! This program is a time of song, exercise and community. Abby involves adults and children in play, rhythm and discovery. Program facilitator Kathy Mabb will discuss how song and music develops reading skills. Lunch for all participants will be mac ‘n cheese and salad.

Participants will receive free books and prizes! Transportation to the library is available upon request. To register for High Five!, email programs@hudsonarealibrary.org, call 518-828-1792 x101, or stop by the desk at the Hudson Area Library. Participants can also register on April 14 at the library, before the program begins. This program is free and open to all families with children five and under (older siblings are also welcome to attend), and is wheelchair accessible.
