Gretchen Kelly works in a variety of mediums and styles, primarily painting figurative, landscape and flowers. Her fashion and home decor background influence her work at times. She is inspired by the beauty of what is natural in the world and embellishes with her own personal touches of color, pattern and ornament. Gretchen endeavors to capture the gestures and nuances of fleeting moments which are the details that bring life and beauty to her work, as she sees it in her subject.
