As someone who grew up in Hudson, I’m interested in your vision for the library. I’d suggest you contact the Lafayette Public Library in Lafayette, CA (where i now reside) to ask them about their Learning Center. They’ve created affiliations with several area organizations (universities, a medical center, and the Commonwealth Program) for utilization of their community room. The library is new and the community was enormously supportive in raising funds. Good luck.

Good question. Utilities are only for the portion of the Armory occupied by the library.

Can I presume that note #11 that says the library will be responsible for all utilities, means all utilities used by the library and not utilities for the whole building?

To the 49 friends and family members who sponsored me and helped me to reach my personal fundraising goal of $2500, a HUGE THANK YOU. And here are some important facts: I DID finish the race; I just didn’t cross the finish line and so my time was not recorded. BUT, I did finish first in my category–70 and over! OK, so I was the only one in the category. At the end of the day, it was great fun and the library was the #1 winner

What a bonanza, our public library dumping books by the cartload.

I certainly will never donate any books to a library that doesn’t even care about their permanent collection.
