THE FRIENDS OF THE HUDSON AREA LIBRARY was established in 1999 to assist the library in providing programs and supplies to enhance library services for all. For the past 10 years, our dedicated and energetic volunteers have raised funds by participating in and supporting community events:
• You’ll stroll by us during ArtsWalk and WinterWalk…
• Walk and run with us as we take the reins in The Ghostly Gallop…
• We buy new books, Story Hour materials, and supply the History Room…
• We cruise the river on The Spirit of Hudson and sponsor presentations from the NY Council on the Humanities…
• We bake cakes, sell white elephants and palm trees at our Book Bake and Treasure & Plant Sale…
• We run fundraiser raffles and auctions and, in general…
