Watercolor with your Grand Person

Program Description: The City of Hudson Senior Center and library’s last two 2019 Watercolor with your Grand Person sessions with local artist Gretchen Kelly continue with a focus on painting from seasonal still lifes, objects, and photos. All materials will be provided. This event is free and wheelchair accessible.

Date/Time: Saturdays, November 16 and December 21, 2-4pm

Registration/Audience: All ages are welcome and adults are encouraged to bring children from their families; children must be accompanied by a grandparent, parent, teen or other adult. Attendees can learn basic techniques or just hang out and paint with others. Fall Watercolor w/ your Grand Person Workshops

Program Description: The City of Hudson Senior Center and the library continue these popular art classes with local artist Gretchen Kelly. September features seasonal handpicked local botanicals in bud vases and bouquet arrangements, back to school still lifes with books, and picture references of animals. October’s themes include seasonal handpicked fall botanicals in arrangements with pumpkins and gourds, bats, ravens, skeletons, skulls, bugs and creepy creatures for Halloween. All materials will be provided.

Watercolor w/ your Grand Person Spring Classes!

Program Description: The City of Hudson Senior Center and the library continue watercolor painting with local artist Gretchen Kelly this spring season. Our April bunnies & spring buds theme is followed by May 18:  flowers and fruit still life, the May Pole imagery, Spring elements like birds, sprouts, and planting images. June 22: flower still life, Father’s Day cards, picnic imagery, bees, butterflies, and Flag Day.

Each of these three workshops can add to developing regular attendees’ personal calendars featuring their watercolor painting. All materials will be provided.

Date/Time: Saturdays, April 20, May 18 & June 22, 2-4pm

Recommended Audience: All ages, beginner and intermediate painters welcome: children accompanied by parent, teens, adults, seniors.

Watercolor with your Grandperson!

Program Description: The City of Hudson Senior Center and the library are celebrating Grandparents’ Day by offering a Watercolor Fest for grandparents, children, and grandchildren. Teaching artist Gretchen Kelly facilitates and shares her expertise on all things watercolor. Bring in a photo with simple imagery for inspiration or choose one from Ms. Kelly’s collection. 

Date/time: Saturday, September 8. Two sessions: 12 – 1:15pm & 1:45 – 3pm.

Preregistration: Required
