The Friends of the Hudson Area Library have recently added seven new titles to the collection as part of the their August “Book Selections of the Month” program.
The four titles for new books for children are Journey by Aaron Becker, The Boy Who Swam with Piranhas by David Almond with illustrations by Oliver Jeffers; Eight Dolphins of Katrina: A True Tale of Survival by Janet Wyman Coleman with illustrations by Yan Nascimbene, and a newly released book for teens, Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick.
Three new fiction books for adults were also added to this recent collection. They are: Alexandria: The Last Nights of Cleopatra by Peter Stothard, a novel that is part memoir, part travel literature; The Sound of Things Falling by Juan Gabriel Vasquez, translated by Anne McLean, and The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo, a novel that combines period storytelling with the supernatural.
All book titles will be available at the Hudson Area Library or by request online at www.hudsonarealibrary.org and may be borrowed for up to 21 days with a library card from the Mid-Hudson Library System.
