Let’s face it. February can be gloomy. It’s the time when we all think winter is dragging on for way too long and, at the same time, we’re seeing that glimmer of spring…just out of reach. Time for a party!
Join us at Café Le Perche Thursday, February 5, from 6pm-8pm for a get-together with author Tim Federle. A born entertainer and “quipper” extraordinaire, Tim will be sharing stories about the grueling research necessary to write his two “mixology” books: Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails with a Literary Twist and Hickory Daiquiri Dock: Cocktails with a Nursery Rhyme Twist. The event is free with purchases of drinks and books garnering a 20% donation to the Campaign.
Cast off with the Friends of the Hudson Area Library for this summer’s Sunset Cocktail Cruise on the Hudson River, Saturday, July 13th.
This special fundraising event will be held onboard the Spirit of the Hudson from 6pm to 8pm and promises to be a fun-filled evening, complete with magnificent views of the Hudson Valley at sunset, live cool jazz, cocktails (cash bar) and hors d’oeuvres, all while cruising on the beautiful Hudson.
Also featured will be raffle and door prizes, sold separately.
Tickets are limited and will be available on a first-come, first serve basis. All tickets will be sold at the Hudson Area Library at $50 per person, or $60 at the dock that evening. Boarding begins at 5:30pm at the Henry Hudson Waterfront Park. Low heeled or soft-soled shoes are recommended.
For more information and to reserve tickets, call 518.828.1792, Tuesday through Saturday. Or stop by the Library at 400 State Street and get your tickets today!
