As part of our expanded programming in 2018, we will offer beginning and intermediate classes of “Senior Fitness: Core Strength & Balance,” in series of four classes each. All classes will be on Saturdays, 1:30-2:30pm.
Beginner: January 6, 13, 20, & 27
Second beginner: March 3, 10, 17 & 24
Intermediate: February 3, 10, 17 & 24
This workshop will introduce exercises that improve postural stability, core strength, spatial body awareness, sensory integration, agility and coordination. The class size has a cap of 12 to allow greater flexibility in addressing the needs of each participant. After completing the series of four sessions, the individual will have mastered a balance routine that they can continue independently at home. Intermediate students, who have taken the beginner class, will receive some further exercises. Continue reading
