Online Resources

While our doors are temporarily closed, we encourage you to take advantage of some of the diverse online resources available for learning, connection, and engagement. In addition to our virtual programming, we also offer a variety of resources for library cardholders, including OverDrive for ebooks and e-audiobooks, Kanopy for streaming video, RBDigital for digital magazines, TumbleBooks for children’s ebooks and animated books, Universal Class for online courses, Mango for language learning, and JobNow for resumé help and test preparation. If you do not have a library card, you can apply for a virtual card online. If you have misplaced your card or it has expired, contact library staff for assistance.

Buenas Noticias: Adult Spanish classes are back!

Program Description: Good news! Spanish classes for adult learners start up again this fall. Sonia Cintron is once again offering adult learners an opportunity to develop and enhance their conversational Spanish skills. 

Date/Time: Advanced Beginner class meets Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm  and Intermediate class Tuesdays 6:45-7:45pm. Classes begin September 11.

Learn Persian at the Library

ShamimSeventeen year old Shamim Amiri grew up in Bamyan, Afghanistan. She has been a student at the Berkshire Waldorf High School since the Fall of 2014.

For her Girl Scout Gold Award project Shamim has created a special six-session program called Learn Persian, which will meet at the library on Tuesdays from 6pm-7pm starting August 4 and running through September 8. All are welcome.

In the program, Shamim will introduce participants to the Persian language, including the alphabet, numbers and some basic phrases. She will also share her knowledge of Afghan culture and religion.

Adult Spanish Language Classes are Back!

Spanish ClassThe library’s Adult Spanish Language Class will begin meeting again on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:15pm.

This free weekly program offers adult learners an opportunity to develop and enhance their conversational Spanish skills in a fun, mixed-level class. Learn to express yourself in real life situations and improve your Spanish language skills for work, travel, or just for fun! Lessons include grammar and vocabulary as well as an introduction to arts and culture from different countries.
