Get Your Kids to Love Reading With Tumblebooks!

All members of the Mid-Hudson Library System have access to TumbleBooks, and now there’s a new app to access them! TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which help to teach kids the joy of reading.

TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an e-picture-book which you can read, or have read to you. The collection includes a large selection of beloved children’s story books, from leading children’s book publishers such as Simon & Schuster, Chronicle Books, Candlewick Press, Charlesbridge Press, Walker & Company, Annick Press, Orca Books, Lerner Books, and HarperCollins Publishers, and many more!

To download the app to your phone, click the buttons below that correspond to your App Store. For instructions on how to get started, click here. If you need any help with this app, our Reference and Tech Services Librarian is more than happy to help!

Here are three of the many children’s book illustrators that will be present at the Hudson Children’s Book Festival on Saturday, May 3rd:
