The 18th annual Ghostly Gallop will again start and end at Hudson Junior/Senior High School, but participants in the 5k run/walk will navigate a new, officially sanctioned course for the first time. The 5k run/walk will start at 10:30am Sunday, October 21. A Kids One Mile Fun Run for children 11 and under will start at 10am.

The new road course takes participants past the library, the beneficiary of proceeds from the day’s events, and reduces traffic disruptions. The course was measured and certified by USA Track & Field. The 5k run, for the first time this year, is part of the USATF Adirondack Grand Prix Series, a series of events that test runners over various distances and in differing conditions.

Participants and spectators for the 5k run/walk and Kids One Mile Fun Run will find ample free parking at Hudson Junior/Senior High School, near the start/finish line. Continue reading
