Cooking Club with Lil’ Deb’s Oasis

Program Description: Tweens and teens are invited to join HAL TAC on a trip to the kitchen of the famed Lil’ Deb’s Oasis. Take a special tour of the restaurant and cook a dish right off the menu under the tutelage of the James Beard-nominated chefs of Lil’ Deb’s. Lil’ Deb’s Oasis is an ongoing restaurant/installation/performance project, created by artist-chefs Carla Perez-Gallardo and Hannah Black. Lil’ Deb’s Oasis is a community-centered space based in Hudson, NY, that frequently collaborates with artists, galleries and the like-minded.

Date/Time: Thursday, January 23, 3:30-4:30pm. Transportation will be available to and from the restaurant.

Saturday Movie Matinee: Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse (2018)

 

Program Description: Hudson Area Library’s Tween Advisory Council is pleased to present another Saturday Movie Matinee. This month’s feature will be Academy Award winning movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (2018). When Miles Morales becomes the Spider-Man of his reality, his path crosses with five counterparts from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.

Date/Time: Saturday, April 13, 4-7pm

Registration/Suggested Audience:  This movie is open to tweens, teens and families and is held as part of the Council’s ongoing Saturday Movie Matinee series. As usual for matinees there will be raffle prizes and free popcorn.
