The Friends of the Hudson Area Library announces its summer Super Saturday Kids Book Sale on Saturday, August 4th from 10am until 1pm. All children's books will be offered at very low discounted prices to encourage summer reading for children of every age. There are thousands of books to choose from, for every level of reader from toddlers to teens. Included in this special one day sale are large picture books, early reader books, non-fiction books, chapter books and young adult books. There are thousands of titles and topics, from adventure, classics, fairy tales, fantasy, fiction, history, humor, magic, nature, science, sports and much more in many formats–board books, hardcover books and paperbacks, as well as a large selection of kid’s movies and music. And, books make great gifts too– you're sure to find something for every level of reader on your list. This summer sale is a wonderful opportunity for a child in your life to experience the joy of books and reading for a lifelong reward!

Hudson's best kept secret, the Book Sale Room, located at the Hudson Area Library (side entrance) holds thousands of books in over forty categories, including cooking, art, travel, gardening, autobiography, classics, fiction, humor, mystery, politics, health, science and many more. Our inventory is the largest in the area, with new books always being added. Movies, audiobooks and music are also available for purchase at discounted prices. The Book Sale Room is now open this summer every Saturday from 10am until 1pm.
Donate to the Book Sale Room
The Friends welcome your donations of gently-used books and other media throughout the year. Please call the Library in advance at (518) 828.1792 to arrange a drop-off time Tuesdays through Saturdays. Please, no text books, encyclopedias, trade journals or damaged items.
The Friends of the Hudson Area Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and proceeds from its fundraising go to the Library for the acquisition of books and other media and for the development and delivery of the Library's services to the community.
