A kick off meeting was held in NYC September 13th with the architect Vincent Benic Architects and the partners, Galvan Foundation and Hudson Area Library. This marked the formal beginning of the design for the new library at the Armory (5th and State St in Hudson). Since then, work has been progressing rapidly on schematic designs. The deadline for the completion of this first phase of the architectural work is the end of November. The project plan calls for the work to be offered for bid to building contractors in June 2013. The planned end of construction and move in for the Library is mid 2014.
