Through the Lens: An Open Photographic Exhibition, August 15 5:00-7:00pm

                                                                                                                                        The Friends of the Hudson Area Library and the Columbia County Photo Club announce the opening of the Second Annual Photography Exhibit titled “Through the Lens: An Open Photographic Exhibition”, at the Hudson Area Library, 400 State Street, Hudson on Thursday, August 15, 2013.  Twenty-four members of the Columbia County Photo Club will participate in this exhibit, with a public reception with the artists from 5:00 until 7:00pm on the 15th.  All photographs will be offered for sale at the Library, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Hudson Area Library. The exhibit will continue through October 26, 2013.

Among the exhibited photographs will be landscapes, flora, book studies and other still lifes by: Paul Abitabile, Doug Stalker, Joan Lizette-Miller, J. Pierre Gontier, Sherry Griffin, Hunter Jackson, Carey Lubow, Jonathon Simons, Hailey Jennings, Bill Shaughnasey, Kristen Stoddard, Beth (Marie) Meehan, Bridget Arnold, Patricia Williams, Larry Fingar, Kara Keeler, Ken Bovat, Daniel Region, Sarah Sterling, Ralph Gorgone, Claudia Bailey, Patty Easton, Charlene Gennari, and Tanysha Stoddard.

The Columbia County Photo Club meets at the Hudson Area Library from 6-8pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Photographers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join. Meetings include sharing photographs, resources, technical knowledge and support of photographic endeavors. Anyone interested in joining can email abit@mhcable.com or call 518.828.5887 after 4:45pm.
