HUDSON – The annual CCCA ArtsWalk Literary Festival will present readings by over a dozen award-winning NY writers October 4th -6th at the Hudson Opera House and Spotty Dog Books & Ale.  Hudson poet-novelist Rebecca Wolff, publisher of Fence Books will read from her upcoming poetry collection One Morning and local MD and Huffington Post columnist Illya Szilak will present Tiny Drops her tragic-comedy multimedia novel about a Japanese housewife kidnapped by North Korean frogmen.  Lydia Davis, recipient of the international Man Booker prize will share the stage with James Lasdun, author of Give Me Everything You have – On Being Stalked.  Other local area writers include Joydeep Roy-Bhattacharya whose novel The Watch places Antigone in wartime Afganistan, short-story writer Greg Hrbek, poet Cara Benson, poet-novelist Djelloul Marbrook and multimedia novelist Paul la Farge.

Spoken word poetry will be performed by Mahogany Browne, curator of the Nuyorican Friday night slam series and Adam Falkner, director of the Dialogue Arts Project and sound poetry by artist Tracie Morris whose installations have appeared at the Whitney Biennial.
