Local Author Talk and Book Signing with H. L. Martin

We are pleased to host area author H. L. Martin on Tuesday, October 7 at 6 pm for an author talk and book signing. Martin will read from her recently published political thriller, “The Patriot Vampire”. The event is free and open to the public. Copies of Martin’s book will be available for purchase and signing following the talk.

“The Patriot Vampire” was inspired by Martin’s years of research into diverse topics, in particular the accounts of government workers, turned whistleblowers, who revealed secret underground bases and laboratories throughout the country. In the novel, the main character, Warren Little, finds his life torn apart after his wife, a geologist for a West Virginia coal company, makes an underground discovery. Warren finds himself tortured and enslaved behind the facade of an otherwise normal social institution. When he meets Charlie, an eccentric big game hunter, Warren begins to recover from his ordeal and finds the means to come to terms with it.
