It’s summer and that means the Hudson Farmers Market is in full swing, along with the Friends of the Hudson Area Library Cook Book Sale at the market! Stop by on Saturday, July 25th, from 9:30 til 1:00 for this opportunity to spice up your summer with fresh and fun recipes. Browse the great selection of vintage, new and gently used cookbooks under the Book Tent, all at great low prices.
Whether you’re looking to expand your kitchen’s library, improve your culinary skills, or just try out some new recipes with fresh ingredients, this special sale will include titles for gourmet, quick meals and menus, summer barbecues and picnics, entertaining and ethnic cuisines. There will be hundreds of interesting books to choose from, including appetizers, salads, meats, seafood, vegetables, desserts and more!

In addition to this Cook Book Sale, the Friends Book Sale Room, located at 400 State Street, is open every Saturday (10 til 1pm), and has thousands of additional books in over fifty categories, including art, travel, gardening, autobiography, classics, fiction, humor, mystery, children’s, self-help, science, history and many more. Our inventory is the largest in the area, with new titles always being added. Movies, audio books and music are also available for purchase at discounted prices.
The Friends of the Hudson Area Library is an advocacy and support group dedicated to the increasing public awareness, literacy, and services of the Library. A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, proceeds from the Friends’ fundraising go to the Library for the acquisition of books and other media and for the development and delivery of the Library’s programs and services to the community.
