The Friends of the Hudson Area Library and the Columbia County Photo Club announce the opening of the Fourth Annual Photography Exhibit titled The Best of Hudson: A Photographic Exhibition at the Hudson Area Library, 400 State Street, Hudson. Twenty-six members of the Columbia County Photo Club are participating in this exhibit, with over fifty images on display. An opening reception with the artists will be held on August 20th, from 5-7pm at the library and is open to the public. All original photographs will be offered for sale, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Hudson Area Library. The exhibit will continue through October 20, 2015.

This years’ exhibition includes photographs in and around Hudson by Paul Abitabile, Chris Aderholdt, John Alicia, Bridget Arnold, Claudia Bailey, Ken Bovat, Carol Leddy Denton, J. Pierre Gontier, Ralph Gorgone, Sherry Griffin, Alexsandra Ivanova, Hailey Jennings, Kara Keeler, Joan Lezette-Miller, Beth (Marie) Meehan, Daniel Region, Teresa Ribadeneyra, Paul Roberts, Trudi Roth, William Shaughnasey, Doug Stalker, Sarah Sterling, Karen Stodolski, Nancy Thomas, Steve Wildermuth and Patricia Williams.

The Columbia County Photo Club meets at the Hudson Area Library from 6-8pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings include sharing photographs, resources, technical knowledge and support of photographic endeavors. Photographers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join.

The Friends of the Hudson Area Library is an advocacy and support group dedicated to the increasing public awareness, literacy, and services of the Library. A 501c(3) non-profit organization, proceeds from the Friends’ fundraising go to the Library for the acquisition of books and other media and for the development and delivery of the Library’s services.
