Saturday, August 29: Cook Books at the Hudson Farmers Market

IMG_3146Summer may be winding down, but the Hudson Farmers Market on Columbia and 6th Street remains in full swing with fresh, local produce and the Friends Cook Book Sale will be there once again! Great books celebrating the area’s bounties of the season, on a wide range of topics, will be offered for sale Saturday, August 29 from 9:30am-1pm. Discover mouth-watering recipes, for everything from appetizers to grilling to entertaining, all at great prices!

Whether you’re looking to expand your kitchen’s library, improve your culinary skills, or just try out some new recipes with fresh ingredients, this special sale will include titles for gourmet, quick meals and menus, summer barbecues and picnics, entertaining and ethnic cuisines. There will be hundreds of interesting books to choose from, including appetizers, salads, meats, seafood, vegetables, desserts and more!

In addition to this Cook Book Sale, the Friends Book Sale Room, located at 400 State Street, is open every Saturday (10am-1pm), and has thousands of additional books in over fifty categories, including art, travel, gardening, autobiography, classics, fiction, humor, mystery, children’s, self-help, science, history and many more. Our inventory is the largest in the area, with new titles always being added. Movies, audio books and music are also available for purchase at discounted prices.
