Webcomics Workshop with Spark Media Project

Constantine,Zoe_Phillip-The-Parrot_22-15Our friends at Spark Media Project are back this month to host a brand new, free Webcomics Workshop! On Saturday, November 21, from 10am-4pm, young artists, ages 10-15, are invited to explore visual storytelling techniques while creating their own original narratives, and illustrating them in comic strips using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Wacom Tablets.

While this program is expected to fill quickly, there is still plenty of time to register. You can sign your child up online at sparkmediaproject.org/workshops, or by calling 845-485-4480 for more information. We also have paper registration forms at the library. Please stop by the library office if you want assistance registering your child.

This intensive is part of Spark’s Mobile Media Lab, supported by the NYS Regional Economic Development Council and the Mid-Hudson Library System. Through the Mobile Media Lab, teaching artists travel to libraries throughout Hudson Valley, bringing media arts workshops to young people free of charge. The workshop is also made possible with public funds from the Decentralization Program of the NYS Council on the Arts, administered in Columbia County by the Greene County Council on the Arts through the Community Arts Grants Fund.
