Hack The Library Returns!

We are extremely excited to announce the return of Hack The Library! A two-day intensive on digital art for tweens and teens running Sunday, August 6 -Monday, August 7 from 10-4pm. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.

Participants, 9 – 17 years old will learn how to create music, gifs and videos using computers and smart phones. Youth participants will collaborate with digital arts professionals currently working in the field.  

Digital art is a medium that uses digital technology to create works of art. Participants will learn how to use the differing programs necessary to construct, share and maximize ideas culminating in a collaborative session in which participants will create a new website on site at Hudson Area Library. 

Instructors include Angelina Dreem, musician and visual artist; Eliza Walton, electronic music producer and teaching artist for Sonic Arts for All; and Ariele Hertzoff; professional photographer, curator and video/sound installation artist.

POWRPLNT is a digital arts collaborative that connects established artists with teens on free interest driven art projects; introducing the history, software and tools of New Media art. They are based in Bushwick; this is their second workshop in Hudson NY.
