We are pleased to announce Creative Every Day: an author/artist talk and workshop with cartoonist Ira Marcks on Tuesday, September 12, 3:30-5:00 pm. Marcks will share his comic book, Creative Every Day, which explores the lives of creatives and artists in Upstate NY who combine business with art. Ira will share his experiences and then host a cartooning workshop for all those who love to draw and tell stories.
For a time Marcks drew a cartoon series for Hugo Award Winning sci-fi/fantasy magazine, Weird Tales. He also created an eighty-foot music video/drawing during a collaboration with Vimeo founder, Jake Lodwick that resulted in a thoughtful blog post from the comic theorist and Understanding Comics author, Scott McCloud. You can watch an interview with Marcks in the PBS series ‘A House for Arts’.
