As part of expanded programming in 2018, We are proud to offer Movement & Music for Little Ones & Families, Tuesdays, 10 – 11am beginning January 9. In Movement & Music musician Abby Lappen will present movement and songs for children as part of a special Story Hour in the Community Room. Families can learn how to use song and movement to help develop children’s pre-reading and reading skills.
Abby has been a driving force in the performing arts in this region for over 30 years as founder, director, and dancer/choreographer of Amble Dance. In addition she has led groups and taught at Camphill Village and The Hudson Opera House for twenty years, and has been a consultant in movement and music in mental health. She has recorded five albums, one of which is devoted to quality family time: Generations of Music and Miracles. She is delighted to join in programs for the Library.
