Cooking Club with Lil’ Deb’s Oasis

Program Description: Tweens and teens are invited to join HAL TAC on a trip to the kitchen of the famed Lil’ Deb’s Oasis. Take a special tour of the restaurant and cook a dish right off the menu under the tutelage of the James Beard-nominated chefs of Lil’ Deb’s. Lil’ Deb’s Oasis is an ongoing restaurant/installation/performance project, created by artist-chefs Carla Perez-Gallardo and Hannah Black. Lil’ Deb’s Oasis is a community-centered space based in Hudson, NY, that frequently collaborates with artists, galleries and the like-minded.

Date/Time: Thursday, January 23, 3:30-4:30pm. Transportation will be available to and from the restaurant.

The Hudson Area Library Tween Advisory Council is comprised of youth ages 8-12 who take a leadership role in providing input on youth library programs, planning and implementing their own program ideas, recruiting other tweens to be involved in library programs, and engaging in community based projects.
