Program Description: We are offering a 5-week session of Creative Writing with Maureen McNeil. In this fall session, participants will respond through writing to current events such as the pandemic and racial justice movement, and other topics central in their lives. This class will take place virtually. Students will receive an e-newsletter with writing prompts and Maureen will host a virtual meeting through Zoom video conferencing services at regular class times.

Time/Date: Thursdays 2:30 – 3:30pm, from October 1 – November 5

Maureen McNeil, author, artist, educator, and social activist, has created writing programs for NYC public school students, US prisoners, seniors, veterans, and families of 9/11 victims. She believes that everyone’s story is needed to help solve the problems of the world. Maureen is also the author of Dear Red: The Lost Diary of Marilyn Monroe and Red Hook Stories
