The Great Give Back is an annual community service initiative, providing opportunities for library patrons in New York State to participate in service-oriented experiences. This year we are partnering with the Hudson Lions Club, the Zonta Club of the Upper Hudson Valley, Hatsgiving and the Columbia County Libraries Association on three initiatives.
With the Hudson Lions Club, we will be collecting new or gently-used coats and winter outerwear (hats, mittens, scarves) for their Coats for Kids program. With the Zonta Club of the Upper Hudson Valley, we will be collecting packaged period products through their Pop-Up Period Pantry for distribution through local food pantries. And with Hatsgiving and the Columbia County Libraries Association, we will be collecting new store-bought or homemade winter hats for pediatric cancer patients.
Items for all three initiatives can be dropped off at the library during open hours through the month of October.
