Observe cultural food demonstrations led by locals sharing recipes brought to Hudson from around the world, and enjoy a taste! This month, Chef G. Idrissa Diarra and Zuhirah Khaldun-Diarra will show us how to cook delicious Burkinabé Na Gur Zindo (lamb peanut stew).

Hudson residents, Chef G. Idrissa Diarra and Zuhirah Khaldun-Diarra, are Co-Founders and Co-Owners of Chez Diarra llc. Chez Diarra or “the house of the lion” produces a line of specialty sauces inspired by traditional African cuisine. Chez Diarra also produces periodic African Music and Food Pop-Ups in the Tri-Corner / Hudson Valley area bringing a unique culinary experience to special events. Chef G. Idrissa Diarra is the former manager of Burkina Faso’s La Foret Restaurant in Ouagadougou. For four years he was Head Chef at Harlem’s heralded Senegalese restaurant, Les Ambassades and served as Sous Chef at New York’s Lower East Side Morrocan kitchen, Les Enfants Terrible.
