The Hudson Area Library has scheduled monthly outdoor early literacy events at different locations throughout our community. Storytime on the Go aims to provide parents and caregivers opportunities to bond with their infants and toddlers while also fostering early literacy skills, such as vocabulary, letter recognition, and awareness of books. We will have a wide selection of free board books for attendees to bring home.
“Storytime on the Go gives us a unique opportunity to share the library’s resources at different locations throughout Hudson,” said Hudson Area Library Youth Services Coordinator Jaclyn Bruntfield. “Our goal is to connect with families and caregivers in our community while emphasizing the importance of providing children with ample opportunities to explore the limitless world of stories and literature. We hope our efforts will help in preparing children for success in school and other future endeavors.”
Storytime on the Go is made possible by the Hudson Area Library’s Kids First Initiative with grant support from the Fund for Columbia County, a fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, and cooperation from the City of Hudson, the Hudson Farmers Market, Hudson Housing Authority, and the Town of Greenport.
