Fall Sessions for Core Strength & Balance at the Library

Program Description: This fall the library, in collaboration with the City of Hudson Senior Center, continues its popular Core Strength & Balance with Dr. Paul Spector. These classes introduce exercises that improve postural stability, core strength, spatial body awareness, sensory integration, agility and coordination. Core Strength meets virtually on Zoom video conferencing services.

Date/Time: Saturdays, 1:30-2:30pm, September 5 – November 28.

Registration: A student already registered for the summer Virtual Core Strength can simply use the current Zoom link. Any new registrants can email programs@hudsonarealibrary.org or call 518.828.1792 x101.

Core Strength & Balance w/ Dr. Paul Spector

Program Description: This series, divided into 4-week long workshops during the months of April, May & June, introduces exercises that improve postural stability, core strength, spatial body awareness, sensory integration, agility and coordination. The class size has a cap of 12 to allow greater flexibility in addressing the needs of each participant. After completing the series of four sessions, the individual will have mastered a balance routine that they can continue independently at home.

Date/Time: Saturdays, April 6 – June 29, 1:30-2:30pm

Recommended Audience: The class is open to all ages but focuses on senior fitness and health.

Registration: Registration is required and space is limited. Register for each month separately by emailing programs@hudsonarealibrary.org

Senior Fitness: Core Strength & Balance with Dr. Spector

After completing the series of four sessions, the individual will have mastered a balance routine that they can continue independently at home. Open to all levels.

Date/Time:  Saturdays, 1:30-2:30pm; 4-session classes meet weekly and are being offered in September, October and November. The September series will meet on September 8, 15, 22 & 29.

Suggested Audience: Seniors

Pre-registration: Required. The class size has a cap of 12 to allow greater flexibility in addressing the needs of each participant. The September series is already partially filled so please do register as soon as possible.  Continue reading

Core Strength & Balance: Register for Spring Classes!

We are continuing to offer the popular beginning and intermediate classes of “Senior Fitness: Core Strength & Balance with Paul Spector,” in series of four classes each throughout 2018. All classes will be on Saturdays, 1:30-2:30pm. February and March classes are filled; if you wish to register for April or May classes please do so  as soon as possible.

Second intermediate: April 7, 14, 21 & 28
Third beginner: May  5, 12, 19 & 26

After completing the series of four sessions, the individual will have mastered a balance routine that they can continue independently at home.
