Free Virtual One-on-One Job Search Help

Beth Gordon with Dan Marinovic, a Literacy Connections volunteer.

As part of our mission to serve the community we are expanding our Job Search Help program and offering it virtually during this time of health and economic crisis. This project is supported by a grant from the Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation to our library and is a collaboration of the library & the Roeliff Jansen Community Library.

Program Description: Lives change and so do jobs! Do you need to re-fresh your resume or brush up on your interview skills to land that next job? We have a nationally Certified Career Services Provider, Beth Gordon, on our team who can work with you one-on-one – at a safe distance – by telephone, Skype, Zoom, or FaceTime.

Registration: Beth is available by appointment. Email programs@hudsonarealibrary.org or call 518-828-1792 x101 to schedule a one-on-one appointment. Residents of the Roeliff Jansen Community Library service area or surrounding area can email director@roejanlibrary.org or call 518-325-4101.

Online Resources

While our doors are temporarily closed, we encourage you to take advantage of some of the diverse online resources available for learning, connection, and engagement. In addition to our virtual programming, we also offer a variety of resources for library cardholders, including OverDrive for ebooks and e-audiobooks, Kanopy for streaming video, RBDigital for digital magazines, TumbleBooks for children’s ebooks and animated books, Universal Class for online courses, Mango for language learning, and JobNow for resumé help and test preparation. If you do not have a library card, you can apply for a virtual card online. If you have misplaced your card or it has expired, contact library staff for assistance.
