Stop by the courtyard at Bliss Towers (State St. and 2nd St., Hudson) for Storytime on the Go this Friday, August 28 from 3PM-5PM. The event will include stories, puzzles, hand-puppets, crafts, book giveaways and other early literacy activities for children ages 0-5 and their families. We hope to see you there!
Join Ms. Pam in the Children’s Room on Tuesday, September 1 from 6-7pm for Back to School Fun Night! Come on in and get excited for the start of the new school year. There will be stories for the elementary set and students of all ages can decorate goal posters with ideas they have for making the 2015-2016 year the best yet. There will be a bookmark making station where kids can create their own bookmark to save their place in all those great books they will be reading this year. We’ll also have book giveaways and other fun activities to help get kids excited for the coming school year.
Join us on an adventure each week as we discover new countries and explore different cultures through music, dance, stories, crafts, and other fun activities! The next sessions will focus on Haiti (October 23) and India (October 30).
The program runs each Thursday from 3:45-5pm in the Children’s Room. All ages are welcome!
This free community arts program, a collaboration with Operation Unite, is made possible in part with public funds from the Decentralization Program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered through the Community Arts Grants Program by the Greene County Council on the Arts.
The Hudson Area Library’s Storytime on the Go will visit the Hudson Farmers Market this Saturday from 9AM – 1PM. Join us this free event, which will include stories about nature and animals, songs, and puppetry.
Storytime on the Go is a mobile early literacy effort aimed at encouraging opportunities for parents and caregivers to read to their babies, toddlers, and young children. The event is best suited for children ages 0-5 and their families. Free board books will be available for participants to take home.
Storytime on the Go is made possible by the Hudson Area Library’s Kids First Initiative with grant support from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s Fund for Columbia County.
Join us during Spring Break for a celebration of Bengali heritage with hands-on participation, a children’s story, music, and traditional dress. This special program will be held on Thursday, April 21st, from 3:30-5:30pm, in the library’s Children’s Room.
This program is part of the Cultural Stories and Dance Series, presented by the Kuumba Dance and Drum in collaboration with the Hudson Area Library and supported by Operation Unite, New York and the Columbia County Council on the Arts through the New York State Decentralization Grant.
