We are thrilled to announce our 2026 Gala, celebrating a decade at our home in the historic Hudson Armory. This milestone event honors the vision, generosity, and community spirit that have helped our library grow into a vibrant space where everyone is welcome. Help us celebrate and support our library’s ongoing mission of life-enriching opportunities at The Caboose, where a lively cocktail hour will be followed by a seated dinner.
This year the library will honor David Murphy, Mark Orton, & Theresa Parsons as “Lions of the Library,” an award that recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional support and dedication to the Hudson Area Library. These three individuals were instrumental in the library’s move to the Armory in 2016.

Community support for the Gala and other fundraising events such as the Ghostly Gallop 5K race in October help sustain the free programs, resources, and collections the library offers to people of all ages. The library raises about half of its annual revenue through fundraisers, grants, and private donations.
