Memory Kits and Collections

We have a range of memory kits available to borrow for patrons and caregivers looking to reactivate memories, exercise their minds, and create opportunities for communication and positive interactions with loved ones. Developed in partnership with the City of Hudson Senior Center, the goal of these kits is to offer resources and tools to support individuals and caregivers dealing with memory loss and the impacts of Alzheimer’s Disease, and to create opportunities for valuable moments of memory sharing and communication. The kits are designed for three general stages of Alzheimer’s disease progression: early, middle, and late. They include puzzles, sensory toys, games, and activities.

In addition, we have developed a special collection of books centered on Alzheimer’s Disease and caregiver support. To explore and place a hold on books and memory kits in this special collection, please click here.

This project was supported by a grant from the Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
